Day 6, 30 Days of Sober Sunrises
Jul 04, 2024Day 6, July 4th, Thursday, 5:49 am
*6 years alcohol free, TODAY!*
Soft pink, scattered clouds, mild waves, very calm, no breeze, absolutely stunning.
Rhiannon is here!
Excited to run the 4th of July race this morning and celebrate 6 years of alcohol-free living!!
Stunning a classic, full exposure, hot orange and pink, she is ready to shine her brightest today!
Oracle: Forest temple, enlightenment
This card can also reflect times when you are seeing the world from only your personal point of consciousness, which is dramatically restricting possibility for you! [ RUDE ] LOL.
Positive changes are coming you are lightening up, feel buoyant and free, old beliefs about who you are and what you deserve in life are falling away, replaced by incredible new paths!
6:19 am
Feelings: Lucky and thankful
Rhiannon: "Feeling lucky and thankful that I gave myself this opportunity. Speaking up for what I need and what I want. We miss a lot of this, natural beauty, when we don't take the time to take it in." ā¤ļø
Mid morning, post 5k, solo beach time reflections on this special day, my 6th anniversary of giving up alcohol.
Ran 5k 4th of July race with Rhiannon, was really fun! Just for fun, good connections, conversation, sweaty, felt happy and alive.
It's hard to imagine 6 years ago... what I would think I would be doing 6 years in the future. I was just 40 years old, excited, full of belief that anything is possible.
6 years later, I am sitting with my beautiful client on the beach seeing the sunrise during my 30 days of sober sunrise project and then running a 5k together.
It's wild. And this amazing client is pretty much alcohol free now. My impact in her life because of my own choice to be alcohol free and help others is huge and impactful.
Our choices matter, going after your ideas, dreams, and goals matter in this world.
We really don't know what is going to happen and I think that is so exciting!
Also, vacationing with teenagers is a hoot!
I left at 5:30 am, saw the sunrise on the beach, ran a 5k in Wilmington, came home, walked Jackie Pooh, ate breakfast, rode my bike to the beach, went swimming, all before 11:00 am LOL and they are still asleep!
Feelings: Peace, happy, content, satisfied :)
Congrats on 6 years Angela! We (past, present, and future) are so proud of you! None of this would be possible without those decisions you made back then and your ongoing belief in yourself and your resolve to live an Alive AF! life. Even thought it's hard, even though this doesn't always go perfectly, you are here, thriving, living, sharing and inspiring others to do the same. Keep going! xo, your 'selves'

About the 30 days of Sober Sunrise Project:
These entries are dedicated to my 6th year of living an alcohol-free life. I have discovered that I love sunrises in my new life. So, I decided to do a writing project of documenting 30-days of sober sunrises over the Atlantic ocean. I rented a house within walking distance to Carolina Beach to make this happen. My family and a few friends will be rotating in and out during this time.
I have no agenda or goal about the outcome. I am curious and fascinated about what might happen.
But most importantly, I just happy that I gave myself the chance for this to even be possible. I am thankful for every person who has helped me get here, past and present, good and bad. They all played a role and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't the experiences in my life (even all the excessive drinking) before this very moment. Let's see what happens!
