Day 8, 30 Days of Sober Sunrises
Jul 06, 20248th day, Saturday, July 6th, 5:52 am
Hazy grey blue cloud layered on the horizon, mild waves, very soft breeze.
Jackie Pooh and Pete are with me today.
I am lucky, but also I have created this, WE have create this.
It didn't just happen, we work towards our goals together.
New moon right now, new beginnings, let go of the old, harness new ideas, goals and projects.
She has risen! Soft pink glow around the classic globe softened by the hazy marine layer, absolutely stunning per usual!
Glad to share this and myself with special people, like Pete.

xo,
Oh- the answer to what happens when you see a sunrise everyday... so far it's just been happiness and joy in those moments and inspiring others to see the sunrise and hearing what their experience is like. It's the little moments of magic in our day where we pay attention to the sun coming up or a cardinal song, or the cool breeze on our skin on a hot day, when we are present for these moments, we can fully appreciate and experience what it means to be alive. It's always the small moments of full presences and clarity that have the biggest impact.

About the 30 days of Sober Sunrise Project:
These entries are dedicated to my 6th year of living an alcohol-free life. I have discovered that I love sunrises in my new life. So, I decided to do a writing project of documenting 30-days of sober sunrises over the Atlantic ocean. I rented a house within walking distance to Carolina Beach to make this happen. My family and a few friends will be rotating in and out during this time.
I have no agenda or goal about the outcome. I am curious and fascinated about what might happen.
But most importantly, I just happy that I gave myself the chance for this to even be possible. I am thankful for every person who has helped me get here, past and present, good and bad. They all played a role and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't the experiences in my life (even all the excessive drinking) before this very moment. Let's see what happens!
