Stop Over-drinking and Start Living, Episode 90, Interview with Corey Williams on Race and Feelings
This week we are celebrating 90 episodes on the podcast!
We are very honored to have Corey Williams as our guest. Corey is a Racial Equity Educator and Coach.
I had her on the podcast, because 1st she’s amazing, and 2nd we have been geeking out together about feelings.
What Corey helps people do is to feel GOOD about learning and exploring as you become anti-racist.
She believes you don’t have to feel ignited and full of anger to talk about race.
In the episode we use a real life example of some feedback I received when I had recently opened up and shared about race.
No matter where you are or where you stand on the subject of race it’s important to know WHY you do and say the things you do about it.
It all comes down to how we are feeling and it’s important to recognize your feelings about it.
Just like our feelings drive our drinking our feelings are driving actions of scrolling on by or dipping our toes in the water to becoming anti-racist.
